NG Results: Nicholson prevails at sentencing hearing, keeps client out of prison
By Nick Gansner of Nicholson Goetz & Otis, S.C., on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016
This week, attorney Nicholson prevailed at an argued, contested sentencing hearing on behalf of a client who had entered a guilty plea to one count of second-degree sexual assault of a child. Previously, three additional counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child, as well as three counts of child enticement, had been dismissed. At sentencing, the government recommended the client be sentenced to a total of 15 years’ imprisonment. Attorney Nicholson successfully recommended that the judge place the client on probation, thus keeping him out of prison.
